USAW-NJ Scholastic State Championships |
2004 - 2005 Season: USA Wrestling New Jersey kicked off the 2004 - 2005 season with the 1st ever NJ Fall Scholastic State Championships. Wrestlers from the following divisions (1995 - 97 Midget; 1993 - 94 Novice; 1991 - 92 Schoolboy; 1989 - 90 Cadet; Grades 9 - 12 Junior) were invited to attend the first annual NJ Scholastic Fall States. Two qualifiers were held: one in Hopatcong (Sunday, October 24, 2004) and one in Williamstown (Sunday, November 14, 2004), with the top 4 qualifiers from each meeting in the finals at Howell Twp. High School on November 20, 2004. The Howell Predators Wrestling Club hosted the tournament. The winners from the Novice (60 and 65) and Schoolboy/girl divisions (70 - 185) were used to form the NJ Mason-Dixon Team.
Weigh-In info for Fall States Finals: Weigh-Ins for the Fall Scholastic States were conducted at three locations on Thursday evening, November 18, 2004:
