USA Wrestling - New Jersey sponsors and sanctions a variety of competitive wrestling competitions and tournaments. Competitive events are offered year-round and include Scholastic/Folkstyle, Freestyle, and Greco-Roman forms of wrestling. The tournaments are local, state-wide, regional, national and international in nature. USAW-NJ sponsored events are listed below.

Season: State Scholastic Qualifiers and Finals Are Now Complete

2009 Kids' Scholastic States:
RESULTS, registration forms and tournament rules, qualifier and state finals
locations and dates, weigh-in locations and dates, directions to all sites,
advancement directions, as well as a list of Spring 2009 Road Trip competitions are now available.

2009 Girls' Scholastic States: The
inaugural USAW-NJ Girls' State Championships were held on Sunday, March
22, 2009, at Union HS. For more info and the registration form,

Team NJ traveled to the 2009 edition
of the Mason-Dixon Quadrangular Tournament which is held annually at
the McDonogh School in Owing Mills, MD. RESULTS ARE
NOW AVAILABLE. For the third year in a row, Team NJ took second
to Team PA. Tryouts for Team NJ's entry were
held in December and the tournament was held on January 10, 2009.
The tournament features youth teams from New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Maryland

2009 International Wrestling/Officiating Program (Spring 2009)
Greco-Roman and Freestyle referees and pairing officials are needed in New Jersey. Anyone interested in becoming a USAW official, please contact Mr. Patrick Pollard. He has volunteered to help build the official pool in New Jersey.

USA Wrestling NJ once again sent a team to the Mason-Dixon Quad at the
McDonogh School in
Owings Mills, MD. The meet was held on Saturday, January 12, 2008.
