"When I'd get tired
and want to stop,
I'd wonder what my
next opponent was
doing. I'd wonder
if he was still
working out.
I'd try to visualize
him. When I could
see him still
working, I'd start
pushing myself.
When I could see
him in the shower,
I'd push myself
harder."

ASICS Kids National
Championships: Schoolboy / Kids Freestyle / Greco
New Jersey's best Kids-aged wrestlers were
off to Green Bay, Wisconsin to compete in the
2006 ASICS Kids Freestyle & Greco National Championships. This event
was the final event of USA Wrestling's prestigious "Triple Crown Series".
Triple Crown winners must have won all three USA Wrestling national titles.
The first leg of this event was held in Cedar Falls, IA in April. New
Jersey's Mark Grey (75 pound) was in the running before suffering a loss to
Kevin Norstrem of Florida in a rematch of the 2005 Greco-Roman finals (70
pounds) which Grey won. Grey got a measure of revenge when he defeated
Norstrem in the Freestyle portion of the tournament. Congrats to Mark for
turning things around in the FS finals. Mark did win the Triple Crown in
2005.
