December 8 — The 2023-24 scholastic (folkstyle) season is underway! Youth leagues have begun competition, and middle and high school competition starts next week. Which means, before you know it, the NJ State Championship Series will be upon us.
This year, USAW-NJ is hosting regional qualifiers for both girls and boys, in order to offer more competition opportunities and hopefully attract more participation. Complete details are in the rules flyer below.

The USAW-NJ Scholastic season provides wrestling opportunities for boys and girls divisions, including: Tots, Bantams, Novices, Juniors, Intermediates, Cadets and Girls. More details on the available opportunities will be available soon in the 2024 Kids, Cadets & Girls Scholastic NJ State Championships flyer.
In 2024 all of the Kids age groups (Tot, Bantam, Novice, Junior and Intermediate), along with the Cadets and Girls, will again compete in nine (9) Regional qualifiers between January and March of 2023, culminating in a weekend full of State Championship matches in early to mid-March of 2024.
Archived footage from the last several USAW-NJ State Championships are available in partnership with FloWrestling. Scores and video from the 2024 events will also be available ARCHIVED throughout championships weekend for all divisions as the best of the best hook it up at the CURE Insurance Arena in Trenton, NJ.

FINAL RESULTS FROM 2024 EVENT...
USAW/NJ put together 2 teams (boys and girls) for the 2024 edition of the Mason-Dixon Quad Quad at McDonogh School in Owings Mills, MD in early January. Wresters were in grades 6-8, with younger wrestlers eligible only for the lowest weight classes. Teams were chosen via wrestle-off tournaments.
