New Jersey has approximately 200 clubs located across the state. Most clubs are feeder programs for local high school. The clubs are usually run by parent volunteers under the guidance of the local High School Wrestling Program. Other clubs can be sponsored by a local Parks & Recreation Club. These programs are usually operated from September thru March. Many Clubs also offer an Olympic-Style Season that runs from March through July.
In addition to these clubs there are many Wrestling Club Training Centers. These are gyms that typically run practice 12 months of the year and have Annual or Seasonal memberships and feature paid staff.
A wrestler can join any of the above types of clubs or they can wrestle on their own or "Unattached"
