Fargo Camp participation (June 27 - June 29) is MANDATORY for all Team NJ wrestlers planning on wrestling at the 2025 USMC Junior Nationals in Fargo, ND.

*Credentials will not be given at any other times, and will not be given to coaches. Wrestlers MUST come and get their credentials. DO NOT BE LATE to get credentials or to weigh ins* *All travel to and from Fargo, ND is made by wrestlers and parents. We do not have a blocked hotel rooms in Fargo. Wrestlers should plan to arrive a day before weigh ins in order to train and lose the last bit of weight needed, or morning of weigh ins. We are planning to have minimum two practices scheduled in Fargo per team. All weigh in dates listed above for each division*

Fargo Camp: Fargo Camp payments must be made by June 22nd, no exceptions.
Gear: All gear orders need to be made by May 30th to receive gear on time. All gear is sent directly to you from company. We will NOT be ordering any extra gear, so this is important.

Duals Team Selection FAQs
Below is a quick-reference summary of the selection process for the NJ National Duals Teams. Please reference the flyer for complete details including the points system that will be used for ranking criteria.
How do I qualify for 2025 Team NJ?
- Win the state Ranking Tournament on 4/13/25 which is our national duals team selection tournament
- Boys 14U and 16U: 1st place winner is guaranteed a spot on the team to wrestle both styles (potential for a Greco alternate)
- Girls 14U, Girls 16U, and Boys Junior: 1st place winner is guaranteed a spot on the team
What is the Seeding Criteria?
A points system will be used as criteria for seeding the Team Selection Tournament. (The flyer describes the point system in detail.) Teams are not hand-picked: all athletes will be seeded and selected based on these criteria.
- Placement in Fargo 2024 (Freestyle and Greco count as separate points)
- Placement at Journeyman, Vegas Open, Women's Open
- Prior year (2024) placement in Northeast Regions, NJ Freestyle State Tournament, or NJ Greco State Tournament
- NJSIAA Top-8 placement in state tournament
- Placing in 2025 developmental tournaments 3/23, 3/30, 4/06, 4/13 and 4/27 -- wrestlers are required to attend at least one developmental tournament
What are the costs and the due dates?
Deposit of $500 (check or credit card) is due to hold a position on the team. If the winner does not reserve a spot on the team by the deadline, the next runner up is notified:
- 1st place — at the conclusion of the tournament on 4/13/25
- 2nd place — due by 4/15/25
- 3rd place — due by 4/28/25
If in any event the top 3 are unable to attend, a team member will be selected by the International Council members using the seeding criteria above. All deposits are to be in by midnight, in order to ensure that a full team is going to be sent to represent Team NJ!
Also, in a situation where there is an empty spot on the team (weight issues, medical issues or personal issues) and an athlete is unable to attend, the International Council will select a wrestler for the team. In the event a full team of every weight class cannot be filled, we will not send a team to the Duals.
2025 New Jersey Women’s Freestyle Wrestling Team Forming NOW for:
National Women’s Duals in Westfield, IN, June 18-21
Female wrestlers will be selected to represent New Jersey as a part of our 2025 New Jersey Women’s Freestyle Wrestling Team. You can be competing against women’s teams from other states across the country June 18-21 at the National Women’s Duals in Westfield, IN. We will host a Team New Jersey training camp a few days before the event. At the conclusion of the camp, all athletes, coaches, and chaperones will depart on buses to travel together to the venue. We plan on bringing 3 full teams this year (14U, 16U, and Junior). With the great number of talented girls in New Jersey we plan on going for gold! We strongly encourage you to express your interest in this unique opportunity as it will be one of the greatest experiences of your wrestling career. The age groups and weight classes follow:
- The new USAW 14U (birth year 2011-2012) weight classes are as follows: 75, 80, 85, 90, 95,100, 105, 110, 115, 120, 125, 130, 135, 140, 150, 165, and 180.
- The new USAW 16U (birth year 2009-2010) weight classes are as follows: 95, 100, 105, 110,115, 120, 125, 130, 135, 140, 145, 155, 170, 190, 207, 235.
- The new USAW Junior (Born 9/1/2005 and after, plus enrolled in grades 9-12 in the Spring 2025 semester) weight classes are as follows: 95, 100, 105, 110, 115, 120, 125, 130, 135, 140, 145, 155, 170, 190, 207, 235.
